For us, The Bear was among the best series of last year. Now, a first trailer announces Season 2 of the incredibly engaging story about a restaurant team under constant high pressure.

Whoever watches all episodes of the 1st season The Bear: King of the Kitchen in one go, should first take a week off afterwards. Hardly any other series pulls you along with its stress factor as much as the production about a young chef who wants to take over his deceased brother’s restaurant and give the place new impetus.

In our top 25 best series of 2022, The Bear landed in third place. In Germany, you can stream all episodes of season 1 on Disney+ with a subscription. * Now a new trailer announces Season 2, which will be released in one fell swoop in the U.S. in June.

Watch the first trailer for season 2 of The Bear here:

The Bear feels like an incredibly electrifying stress test

The plot of the series revolves around Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), who is actually a talented chef from New York’s fine gourmet kitchen. After the death of his brother, he takes over the management of his brother’s restaurant in Chicago.

Here he must find his way in the much rougher world of the working class neighborhood and lead a team that is not yet ready to trust his late brother’s young successor. Together, the team must fight against new challenges and obstacles every day.

Even though the first season of The Bear consists of only eight episodes in a digestible 20- to 25-minute format, the compelling series feels like a draining marathon. The production’s staging in particular makes it more suspenseful and nerve-wracking than most thrillers, while the cast excites with strong acting performances.

In the U.S., all episodes of the 2nd season The Bear come on June 22, 2023. With us, the season should then come back to Disney+ all at once. A concrete date is here unfortunately not yet fixed
