Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon was shown to the public for the first time at the weekend. Oscar winner and Gravity director Alfonso Cuarón was full of praise.
Killers of the Flower Moon, the new film by Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, celebrated its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival a few days ago. For the first time, the public was able to take a look at the 206-minute crime epic about a real-life series of murders from the 1920s. Among them were not only the press but also some filmmakers. One of them: Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón, who has been celebrated with works such as the science fiction film Children of Men and most recently the autobiographical drama Roma.

Cuarón was asked on the sidelines of the Women in Motion dinner at Cannes about his favourite films of the festival so far and immediately named Killers of the Flower Moon. The Oscar-winning director commented.

Naturally did not stop at these few words. When asked, he explained his love for the film as follows:
“Oh my God, this is a filmmaker in his most amazing, pure form. He is quite fearless about his choices and decisions. He also allows himself to act without a safety net. Just great!”
