Joko Winterscheidt hits Amazon Prime today with his first major streaming series. In six episodes, he devotes himself to one of the most important topics of our time.

He is a permanent fixture on the German TV landscape. For his latest project, however, Joko Winterscheidt is leaving linear television behind. Starting today, you can stream the presenter and actor’s new series on Amazon Prime Video. The title sounds promising: The World’s Most Dangerous Show.

However, we are not dealing with a new show à la Joko & Klaas against ProSieben. The “most dangerous show in the world” is not an entertainment programme, but a documentary format in which Winterscheidt deals with the devastating consequences of the climate crisis and asks experts about it.

The World’s Most Dangerous Show: Joko Winterscheidt deals with climate change on Amazon Prime

In six episodes, each with a running time of 45 minutes, Winterscheidt travels around the world, visits different countries and tries to find solutions to a hopeless situation. Among others, he stops at the German climate protection activist Luisa Neubauer and the US entrepreneur Bill Gates.

Here you can watch the trailer for The World’s Most Dangerous Show:

“The climate crisis is here. But is there any hope?” the description of the first episode asks. The World’s Most Dangerous Show looks at climate change from different angles to give a perspective on the future. Winterscheidt’s first streaming series moves directly on the pulse of the times.
