Disney has announced the postponement of the release dates for Avatar 3, 4 and 5. The news is throwing some fans into a mid-life crisis.
Avatar fans actually have donkey patience. 14 years after Part 1, Avatar 2: The Way of Water finally came in 2022, sequels were now supposed to follow in a two-year rhythm. But that’s it. Avatar 3, Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 will all be released much later. The fans try to cope with their disappointment with gallows humour.
Disappointed sci-fi fans poke fun at Avatar delay
“When Avatar 5 comes out, there will be no more ice in the Arctic,” one fan on Twitter notes sarcastically about the new release dates. Another already sees himself attending the Avatar 5 cinema with age-appropriate walking aids. “I’ll be dead by then, but thanks for the offer,” reads a third comment

Mother company Disney recently postponed a slew of blockbusters, which include all of the Avatar films in addition to many Marvel smash hits. One of the reasons is the ongoing strike of screenwriters in Hollywood.
