Deutschland sucht den Superstar and The Voice are the biggest music shows on TV. An alleged postponement could see RTL and ProSieben fight out a mega duel.
Deutschland sucht den Superstar and The Voice of Germany divide Germany between themselves. Music fans still don’t have to choose between the formats from RTL and ProSieben/Sat. 1, as DSDS has so far been broadcast at the beginning of the year and The Voice in the autumn. But that is supposed to change soon.
DS attacks The Voice: TV rumour announces duel between RTL and ProSieben
According to a Bild report, filming of the 21st DSDS season will be postponed. The new episodes will therefore not be broadcast in January, but only in autumn 2024. RTL is therefore poaching in The Voice’s traditional ratings territory.
However, as DWDL has researched, this is only a rumour, which is nevertheless not entirely improbable. “So far these are just rumours,” the media site quotes an RTL spokesperson as observing, “A hard denial looks different.” Just note the telling little word “so far”. But how much truth there really is in the report is difficult to assess at the moment.
