The plot of the new Witches’ Club is similar to the original. Three young magicians accept newcomer Lily (Cailee Spaeny) into their coven after she freshly moves to town. While she is still learning how to use her powers responsibly, danger is already looming. Soon there is a death allegedly caused by one of the girls.
The New Witches’ Club was largely well received by critics, as Metacritic shows. Many critics praised the entertainment factor of the film, but said it was mainly aimed at fans of the original.
