Loki is back! Season 2 of the Disney+ series continues the tangled sci-fi adventure from the lauded first season. And gets a perfect guest star.
Genre cinema is dominated by the multiverse. In 2021, the Marvel series Loki was still one of the first to try its hand at the elaborate storytelling format. Two years later, dimension jumping is almost old hat. Season 2 of the Marvel series fittingly features a star of the multiverse movie par excellence, Ke Huy Quan from Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Ke Huy Quan had become a child star as Shortround in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. His big comeback came in 2022’s Everything Everywhere All at Once, for which he even won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Not much is known about his role in Loki season 2. He plays an employee of the Time Variance Authority (TVA).
What happened in the last episode and what is Loki season 2 about?
In the last episode of season 1, Loki met the villain Kang, played by Jonathan Majors, who as of this week is on trial for domestic violence charges . Kang controlled the multiverse and the fight against him triggered a new, chaotic multiverse.
Season 1 of Loki ended on a cliffhanger with Mobius (Owen Wilson) in another timeline having no idea who Loki even is anymore. From this constellation, the upcoming 2nd season can gain an exciting dynamic.
