New Star Wars series Ahsoka remembers Ray Stevenson: The late.

The new Star Wars series Ahsoka is airing on Disney+. The late star Ray Stevenson plays one of his last roles in it. The opener remembers him.

At the end of the first episode of the new Star Wars series Ahsoka, the dedication “For our friend Ray” appears. The sci-fi adventure on Disney+ uses it to commemorate Irish actor Ray Stevenson, who died last May at the age of 58. As villain Baylan Skoll, Stevenson embodies one of the most exciting and impressive new additions to the Star Wars universe.

In the universe of Marvel movies, he even took on two different roles – as an elite Asgardian fighter in the first three Thor movies, and as a brutal anti-hero in Punisher: War Zone.

Ray Stevenson also made a lasting impression with his many series roles. For example, as legionnaire Titus Pullo in Rome, as gangster Isaak Sirko in Dexter, as a pirate legend in Black Sails or even as the mysterious Othere in Vikings.

Ray Stevenson’s role in the Disney+ series led by Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano is not his first appearance in the Star Wars universe.

He voiced the evil Mandalorian Gar Saxon in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. In Ahsoka, fans can see him in one of his last roles as ex-Jedi Baylan Skoll.

With his powerful presence, Baylan Skoll is already one of the most impressive new Star Wars characters in Ahsoka after just a few minutes. Indeed, there’s an exciting story behind the character. Once trained as a venerable Jedi, Baylan Skoll turned his allegiance to the Empire after Order 66 and has worked as a mercenary ever since.
