A contract killer chasing another killer in a kind of competition? This film idea has not really been new since “Die Mörder GmbH” (1969). But maybe “King Of Killers” offers some original approaches. Here is the trailer:
Almost every month we can present you another new thriller with Frank Grillo. The action star, who achieved worldwide fame as the brutal Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones in the Marvel blockbusters “Captain America 1 + 2” and “Avengers 4: Endgame”, has been shooting one relatively inexpensively produced thriller after the next for several years now. In “King Of Killers”, the latest title of this kind, he now meets Stephen Dorff, among others. The mime known from “Blade” and the third season of the brilliant crime series “True Detective” is also not averse to such thrillers.
Whether “King Of Killers” is just another of many rather forgettable machinations or whether it’s a little indie gem, we can soon check out in the home theater. The film is directed and written by “Underworld” co-writer Kevin Grevioux, who adapted his own comic of the same title. Grevioux also plays a supporting role and has already announced that he is working on a TV series that will continue the plot of “King Of Killers”.

“KING OF KILLERS”: THIS IS THE STORY
In the past, Marcus Garan (Alain Moussi) was one of the best hitmen in the world. However, after his beloved wife died in an attack on him, he hung up his guns and is now somehow trying to find his way into a middle-class existence.
Unfortunately, he needs a lot of money quickly to pay for therapy for his seriously ill daughter. The visit of the mysterious Mr. Corza (Gianni Capaldi) comes just in time. The man, who seems to know exactly what Marcus used to do for a living, makes him an offer that seems extremely worthwhile.
According to Corza, he can take part in a competition involving professional assassins from all over the world – such as the clever Robert Xane (Stephen Dorff), the ice-cold Asha Khanna (Marie Avgeropoulos) or the brutal Dyson Chord (Kevin Grevioux). The point is to take out Jorge Drakos (Frank Grillo), the infamous, self-proclaimed “King Of Killers.” Whoever succeeds in doing so is to be paid a bounty of ten million dollars.
