This is a first for Navy CIS: The crime series is getting another addition. But this time, the franchise surprises with the location of the action. Find out what you can expect from the new spin-off.

NCIS has long been much more than just a series. The story about the so-called Naval Criminal Investigative Service emerged 20 years ago from the parent series J.A.G. – On a mission of honor. Since then, several spin-offs have been created, such as NCIS: Hawaii and NCIS: New Orleans. In just a few weeks, another spin-off is coming – and this time, everything is different.

What’s so special about the new NCIS series?

Until now, Navy CIS spin-offs have been scattered throughout various metropolitan regions of the U.S. – often in particularly sunny areas. The latter is also true for the upcoming spin-off. However, NCIS: Sydney – the name gives it away – is set in faraway Australia. This is a first for the long-running crime franchise.
