The Game of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon is one of the best fantasy series of recent years. Fans have been waiting patiently for more since 2022. Now there are finally the first glimpses of season 2 in the form of two posters showing Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) and Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke)

Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen can be seen in a rain of sparks. The producers have also announced a further glimpse into season 2 of the series. This could be a featurette or a teaser trailer, which will be shown at the current CCXP trade fair.
What exactly will happen in season 2 of the Game of Thrones spin-off is not yet known. What is certain, however, is that the two former best friends Alicent and Rhaenyra could not be further apart at the start. Once again, a brutal war seems to be imminent in Westeros
When is season 2 of House of the Dragons coming to Germany?
As the posters show, the second season of House of the Dragons is due to be released in summer 2024. Judging by the release schedule of the first season, the new episodes are also expected to be available on Sky’s streaming service WOW just after the US launch in Germany.
