Disney+ has released the season 1 finale of the Percy Jackson series. It featured the late star Lance Reddick in a major role. Fans bid an emotional farewell
The finale of season 1 of Percy Jackson: The Series on Disney+ has caused one emotion in particular for many fans: sadness. This only has limited to do with the story ending. In fact, episode 8 of the series featured Lance Reddick (John Wick) in one of his last roles. Reddick passed away in March 2023.

Reddick’s death also raises a big question for the Disney+ series that many fans are asking. “Lance Reddick was phenomenal as Zeus. It’s very sad that [the creators] have to recast the role,” reads one community member. It is not yet known who will play Zeus in a possible season 2 of the series
When is Percy Jackson season 2 coming to Disney+?
Season 1 of the Disney+ series has received good reviews. However, season 2 has not yet been confirmed. If new episodes start filming soon, we could imagine a start in the second half of 2025.
