The second season of the zombie series The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is on the starting blocks and now sending Carol on a horror trip to France.
The Walking Dead may have ended, but the stories of individual fan favorites are far from over thanks to several spin-off sequels. Last year, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon marked the beginning of a new adventure in France for Norman Reedus’ survivor Daryl, which will even take a detour to Spain in the future.
In just a few days, Daryl Dixon will return with the second season, which now also sends Melissa McBride as fan favorite Carol to Europe. But the reunion of the two The Walking Dead veterans is not the only highlight fans can look forward to.
The Walking Dead brings back fearsome super zombies in Daryl Dixon Season 2
In the first season of the The Walking Dead spin-off, Daryl Dixon was confronted not only with an unfamiliar environment, culture and language in France, but also with a zombie variant that we have never seen before in over 13 years of The Walking Dead: fast zombies!
With a mysterious serum, the otherwise slow and shuffling undead can be transformed into angry and raging super zombies. In the second season, villain Marion Genet (Anne Charrier) will be sending a whole horde of pimped-up biters after Daryl and the community of the Union of Hope, as has already been revealed during filming.
A scurrying zombie army is not the only thing that season 2 of the Daryl series will be bragging about. The escalating conflict in France will once again see plenty of action, as you can see for yourself in the latest teaser trailer:
The new teaser also offers a first glimpse of Carol’s arrival in France. Alone and armed, she walks through the Grande Arche triumphal arch in Paris. It is not yet known when and how she will be reunited with her missing boyfriend. But one thing is for sure: Carol will stop at nothing to find Daryl – not even an ocean.
