Kevin – Alone at Home 2 is popular TV fun at Christmas time. However, actor Daniel Stern had to suffer quite a bit for one hilarious scene.
The double cult of Kevin – Alone at Home and Kevin – Alone in New York is a beloved Christmas fun for many. However, for Daniel Stern, portrayer of the burglar Marv, an iconic scene in Part 2 of the franchise ended up being anything but fun.
Kevin – Alone at Home 2 star injured both legs in hilarious stunt
This is what Stern explained while talking to fans on Reddit . In his constant pursuit of three-cheese Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), Marv built himself a tower of furniture, TVs and boxes to get from one floor of a vacant building to the next. The actor recalls:
“There’s a scene where I have to climb a kind of tower […]. But it was much more complicated than I thought. I must have taken every edge and corner [on the way up]. When I took off my costume at the end of the day, I noticed lots of bruises on my legs. And three days later, my legs were blue from my toes to my [butt]. “

Some franchise fans may not be surprised by these blunders, after all Kevin – Alone at Home is at its core the story of a psychopath. Nonetheless, it honours Stern and fellow burglar Joe Pesci that they performed many of the stunts themselves. Whether Macaulay Culkin ever felt guilty about this is unknown.
