You can now stream the sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on Disney+ by subscription. * Financially, the Marvel sequel became a huge success again in 2022, despite the difficult production history.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever negotiates a superhero legacy after the star’s death
The death of Chadwick Boseman has caused another major rewrite of the planned script for Black Panther 2. The plot of the MCU sequel now centres on a broader Wakanda cast of characters, including T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright), his mother Ramonda (Angela Bassett), spy Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and warrior Okoye (Danai Gurira).
Together, the nation must defend itself against new threats, including an underwater civilisation led by Namor (Tenoch Huerta). In the end, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is also about the question of what a succession to the superhero who also died in the film plot might look like.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was again a hit at the box office. After Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ryan Coogler’s sequel became the second most successful Marvel film of 2022 with a worldwide box-office takings of a good 841 million dollars.
