In Deadpool 3, Hugh Jackman returns as Wolverine. He’ll have to watch out for his voice though, as he’s done quite a bit of damage to it in the past in the role
In compensation for the long wait for Deadpool 3, the return of a Marvel legend has been announced. After the dark superhero departure Logan – The Wolverine, Hugh Jackman will step into the role once again for the Ryan Reynolds blockbuster.
So far, Jackman has spoken about having to eat extreme amounts of food in addition to training for his Wolverine body. Apparently, however, the star trains his voice just as hard. His voice has suffered in the past for the sake of his figure.

Hugh Jackman talks about hurt voice over Wolverine
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter the actor opened up about his Wolverine days on an episode of BBC’s Front Row. According to him, his voice teacher from back then would be shocked at the things he did because of Wolverine. This was mainly about his voice, which he damaged for the special growling and shouting in low tones:
“We learned [in school] the technique of how to shout and how to shout without ruining your voice. However, during Wolverine I did a bit of screaming and shouting and doing things that I think damaged my voice, which I think I’m working on now. “
