We still have to wait a long time for the 2nd season of The Last of Us. For this, the horror drama series surprises us with a 30-minute special that takes us behind the scenes
Earlier this week, the last episode of season 1 of The Last of Us aired, which means that now the long wait until the start of season 2 begins. Since the video game adaptation is a gigantic project, we shouldn’t expect the new episodes to arrive as soon as a year from now.
Luckily, there’s a 30-minute special to shorten the wait and give us a behind-the-scenes look at the series. In this country, the making-of will be released on Sky and the associated streaming service WOW. If you don’t have a subscription – no problem! Sky is also making the special available for free on YouTube.
The Last of Us: Half-hour making-of special shows how the acclaimed series came to be
What approach did Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann take to the series? How did Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey find their way into their roles? And what tricky challenges awaited the team during filming? In the behind-the-scenes documentary, the questions are clarified.
In addition to Pascal and Rasmey, other important cast members have their say in the special episode. Starting with Anna Torv and Merle Dandridge to Rutina Wesley and Ashley Johnson to Jeffrey Pierce, Storm Reid and Gabriel Luna, who embodies Joel’s brother Tommy. Also exciting: we get to know the creative minds responsible for the series’ scary monster characters.
If you haven’t seen Season 1 of The Last of Us yet or want to watch it again, you can do so now on Sky or WOW. Since the beginning of the week, all nine episodes have been available to stream in both the German dubbed version and the original English version.
