Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves delights with a cameo appearance by a Hollywood star that probably few fans of the fantasy series expected.
Since Thursday, Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves has been running in German cinemas and providing fantasy fun. The film adaptation of the role-playing game of the same name, which is usually contested with dice and pencils, comes up with lovable characters, exciting action scenes and a lot of humour.
In addition, the new Dungeons & Dragons film surprises with a cameo that comes completely out of nowhere. Before you read on, however, an explicit spoiler warning. After this paragraph, we will reveal the name of the actor who stops by for an amusing scene.
Dungeons & Dragons: Bradley Cooper surprises with a cameo in the fantasy blockbuster
One of the most important characters in Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves is Holga (Michelle Rodriguez), who joins Edgin (Chris Pine) on his adventure. On their journey they make a detour to Holga’s ex – and he is embodied by none other than Hollywood star Bradley Cooper.

The scene is particularly funny because we are previously introduced to Holga as a muscle-bound warrior who fearlessly throws herself into every fight. Cooper’s character, on the other hand, is small and petite, as if a hobbit had strayed into the Dungeons & Dragons universe. The cameo scene benefits greatly from the situational comedy that ensues.
Bradley Cooper cameo in Dungeons & Dragons: First there was another actor in the scene
As it turns out, Cooper’s appearance wasn’t planned from the start. In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment Rodriguez reveals that she shot the scene with another actor first before Cooper was hired.
“Originally there was a completely different actor [in that scene]. They cut [Bradley Cooper] in later and then told me. “
Cooper and Rodriguez were thus not on camera together. The cameo was only made possible through the magic of visual effects and clever editing. Unfortunately, Rodriguez does not reveal which actor played Holga’s ex before Cooper.
