For a long time it was unclear around which real-life person the 2nd season of the Netflix series Dahmer revolves. Now the streaming service has revealed the true background of the new episodes.
Last year, Netflix released the series Dahmer – Monster: the story of Jeffrey Dahmer. As the title suggests, the individual episodes revolved around serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who was proven to have committed 16 murders. The series advanced to become one of the biggest Netflix hits of recent years.
With Dahmer’s story told, the new Monster episodes rely on another case. This time it’s about Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who murdered their parents in 1989. One monster thus becomes plural in the title of the anthological format: Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

What the cast of the Dahmer follow-up series looks like is currently unknown. At the end of the teaser, the start date for Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is hinted at. In 2024, the episodes will be released on Netflix.
