Most of the projects from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are closely linked. Only one film had to fight for its place in the mega-franchise for a long time
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the most successful franchise in Hollywood over the past decade. One crucial reason for this: the stories of the individual films and series cleverly build on each other. Everything is connected. Only one film was stubbornly ignored for a long time: The Incredible Hulk.
The Incredible Hulk started in 2008 as the second MCU film in theaters. However, it was unable to match the success of Iron Man. Neither from a qualitative nor a financial perspective was Edward Norton’s rampage convincing, so it was completely revamped in the wake of Marvel’s The Avengers. NITRO airs the blockbuster on Tuesday nights at 8:15 p.m.
The Incredible Hulk is currently making his big comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Since Mark Ruffalo brought the Hulk to life, The Incredible Hulk has been forgotten, virtually overwritten. Although the MCU today still remembers events from the first Iron Man films, Hulk’s origin story has often been passed over. Only the character of General Thaddeus Ross appeared in individual films.

In recent years, The Incredible Hulk has nevertheless enjoyed a bit of a revival within the MCU. Through projects like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and She-Hulk: The Lawyer, more and more elements and characters from the unloved Marvel film have returned. And now there’s more to come.
The next big key film in the rehabilitation of The Incredible Hulk is Captain America 4: New World Order, which features two major Hulk characters we haven’t seen since 2008: Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns. General Ross also plays an important role.
Strictly speaking, Ross made it to the presidency of the United States of America in Captain America 4: New World Order. Previously, the role was embodied by William Hurt. Since he died in March 2022, Harrison Ford takes over the part and possibly even turns into Red Hulk in the course of the plot.
