Family is the most important theme of the Fast & Furious series. In Fast & Furious 10, the community around Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) is to be threatened like never before, as now again the latest trailer for the action spectacle shows. The background music, most recently used to great effect in The Last of Us and the sci-fi masterpiece Arrival, reinforces this impression immensely.

“Maybe we won’t survive this”: that’s how fatalistic Rodriguez’s Letty expresses herself in the new trailer about the chances of survival in the fight against Fast & Furious 10 creep Dante (Jason Momoa), who wants to take bloody revenge on Dom (Diesel) and his family. Max Richter’s famous track On the Nature of Daylight, along with Dinah Washington’s lyrics from the song This Bitter Earth, lend weight to their concern in the trailer.
Many Fast 10 franchise predecessors toyed with the loss of a key member of the bolide crew. The end of the series is already planned, a tragedy could actually happen this time. However, even Michelle Rodriguez’s character Letty returned from the dead before.
