In the early 2000s, Germany rivaled the American Pie wave around hormone-driven teens. This refers to the crudely entertaining Harte Jungs with Tobias Schenke and Axel Stein, in which the main character can one day talk to his own bestie.
21 years after the sequel Knallharte Jungs (2002), the German comedy cult now continues on Netflix. From now on you can stream Hammerharte Jungs with important original stars from earlier in the subscription.
What’s it about? Tough guys sequel features the next generation
The plot of Hammerharte Jungs revolves around Charly (Tobias Schäfer), who can talk to his penis just like Florian did back then. This becomes a problem for him, especially when dealing with his school crush Paula (Cosima Henman). What Charly doesn’t know: Paula feels the same way he does.
In addition to the new stars, Hammer Tough Guys also brings back important original stars. Charly’s father is none other than Axel Stein’s Rudolf. Diana Amft can be seen in the role of Paula’s mother Maja.
