The Walking Dead spin-off with Maggie and Negan is already running in the US. Now Lauren Cohan has revealed that she wants many more seasons for the series.
Now that The Walking Dead has ended, the hit series is expanding with several spin-offs. One of the spin-offs is The Walking Dead: Dead City, which focuses on Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
While the spin-off can be seen here from October, the first TWD spin-off is already running in the USA. In a new interview, Cohan talked about wanting a bigger future for her series.
Lauren Cohan can imagine up to five seasons of new The Walking Dead series
In a lengthy interview with the New York Post the Maggie actress says at the end that she wants many more seasons of The Walking Dead: Dead City if season 1 is successful enough:
“We’re definitely ready to go beyond season one. The television landscape is a little different and a little more unsettled than it used to be. But we really hope that the series does well and can lead to a second, third, fourth or fifth season. We feel like we just cracked the egg – now we should make an omelette. “
Cohan is not only involved in the series as the lead actress, but also as an executive producer behind the camera. In the spin-off’s storyline, Maggie and Negan must team up in New York to free Maggie’s kidnapped son Hershel from the clutches of a psychopath.
