Teddybjørnens jul: Norwegian Christmas movie in which a teddy bear makes a new family happy.
Plot and background
A teddy bear is in search of a new family. At a Christmas carnival, he hopes to be the first prize to a loving family, but not everyone who attends is as nice as first impressions reveal.
Unlike other teddies, this cuddly bear can not only move, but also talk and listen to the other person. This catches the eye of the smart girl Mariann (Marte Klerck-Nilssen), who is determined to win the teddy bear.
The trailer already shows heartwarming scenes:
“A Christmas for Teddy” – background, cast, cinema release
In the past, Norwegian Christmas films scored points at the German box office with sugary sweet ideas for the contemplative festival. In recent years, “Suddenly Santa” and “Elise and the Forgotten Christmas” have also become big hits with German audiences.
Director Andrea Eckerbom (“Elise and the Forgotten Christmas”) staged another exciting children’s and family film set in the contemplative Advent season with “A Christmas for Teddy”. This time the story is based on a children’s book by the Norwegian author Alf Prøysen (1914-1970), which is unfortunately not available in Germany.
The main roles are played by child actress Marte Klerck-Nilssen in her debut role, Nader Khademi (“Beforeigners”), Mariann Hole (“Made in Oslo”) and Jan Gunnar Røise (“Elise and the Forgotten Christmas”). It is not yet known who will take on the role of Teddy Bear in the German dubbed version.
“Ein Weihnachtsfest für Teddy” will be released in German cinemas on 17 November 2022 – just in time for the pre-Christmas season. An FSK rating has not yet been determined.
