“Dear Future Children” in the cinema
Documentary about three women who rebel against social problems and don’t think about quitting when they have setbacks.
They live on three continents, their struggle is different, but the attitude is a similar one. The three women Hilda in Uganda, Rayen in Santiago de Chile and Pepper in Hong Kong fight for a better future. While Hilda in Uganda fights for the future of our environment, Rayen and Pepper take to the streets in protests against injustice in their own country. Rayen lives in Santiago de Chile, the country where the poverty line is widest among the population. Pepper, a student, struggles in Hong Kong against the growing influence of China.
Their hurdles are similar: tear gas, rubber bullets, water cannons, deadly drought and governments that oppress and target the young generation for exploitation. Nevertheless, these three strong women do not let go of their goal: they want to make a better world possible for future generations and children, their struggle on the streets is too important.
