While some film fans watch contemplative classics at Christmas time, others wait for Avatar 2: The Way of Water. The third faction celebrates with particularly bloody horror fun like Christmas Bloody Christmas. There, a killer robot in a Santa costume spectacularly takes apart an entire village. It’s trashy, but also really entertaining.

Cult director unleashes horror Santa on cutesy Christmas village
In Christmas Bloody Christmas, young Tori (Riley Dandy) just wants to have a reasonably semi-platonic Christmas Eve with her semi-platonic pal Robbie (Sam Delich). Suddenly, the otherwise peaceful Father Christmas robot slaughters the neighbour’s child. And the fight for survival begins.
The horror thriller comes from director Joe Begos, who has already made a name for himself in genre circles with V.F.W. and Bliss – Trip to Hell. We were able to take a look at the sci-fi horror at the Sitges Festival and were very impressed. The two main characters and the effects in particular make the film really entertaining fun.
