One of the best fantasy series of the 2000s is to be continued. It was relaunched nine years ago with dubious results.
Heroes never die. At least that’s how it seems with regard to the fantasy franchise Heroes. The cult series from 2006 was continued in 2015 with the flop Heroes Reborn. Now a new series called Heroes: Eclipsed is set to arrive

This is what the fantasy sequel Heroes: Eclipsed is about

As Deadline reports, the new Heroes story will be set several years after the events of the parent series. New heroes who are just discovering their supernatural powers will have to face new challenges. And, according to the report, they will also encounter enemies they already know.

Watch the intro to the Heroes series here:

The premise will remind fans of Heroes Reborn, which builds on similar story foundations. The first sequel to the cult series did not reach the popularity of its predecessor with many fans and ended after one season. Even producer Jennifer Salke was disappointed with the result, as ScreenCrush quotes.

When is the new Heroes series coming to Germany?

The new series is at a very early stage of development. It is currently being pitched to various buyers, including NBC, which provided a home for the original Heroes series. It is not yet clear where it will be shown in Germany. If Heroes: Eclipsed starts production soon, we could imagine a launch from mid-2025
