The new Daredevil series with Charlie Cox has already been through a lot. Now the official launch date for the first season on Disney+ has finally been announced. We can look forward to nine episodes.
For a while, it looked like we would never hear from the Marvel heroes once at home on Netflix again. But then a change of course ensured that the legacy of Daredevil and Co. would not be forgotten after all. Series like Hawkeye and She-Hulk laid the foundation for this.
In recent years, individual characters from the Netflix series have gradually been reintegrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after being generously left out of it. The highlight is now Daredevil: Born Again, a quasi-sequel to the Netflix series. Now the start date has been set.
When does Daredevil: Born Again start on Disney+?
As Marvel Studios revealed at New York Comic-Con, fans can look forward to the return of the red devil from Hell’s Kitchen soon. Daredevil: Born Again starts on Disney+ on March 4, 2025. The first season includes a total of nine episodes. And the best news is: the second season has long since been ordered.
Update: The release date revealed at New York Comic-Con only applies to the US. As a new press release confirms, Daredevil: Born Again will arrive in Germany one day later, namely on March 5, 2025. This launch is not delayed, but rather results from the time difference.
The stars of Marvel Television’s DaredevilBornAgain, Charlie Cox & Vincent D’Onofrio, surprised fans with a special sneak peek during the NYCC “Marvel Fanfare” panel today.

Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox, last appeared in MCU projects such as She-Hulk and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Now his own story is being continued, and of course an old acquaintance should not be missing: the villain Wilson Fisk, better known as Kingpin. He is played again by Vincent D’Onofrio.
Daredevil: Born Again is also D’Onofrio’s third (!) appearance in the new MCU era. He was previously brought back via the Hawkeye and Echo series. Now, for the first time in six years, he is meeting his nemesis Daredevil again – along with many other familiar characters from the Marvel Netflix series.
Deborah Ann Woll brings back Karen Page and Elden Henson once again takes on the role of Foggy Nelson. But the announcement that has generated the most excitement so far is the return of Punisher actor Jon Bernthal. It will be interesting to see how much toughness he can smuggle into the MCU.
