Batman’s son teaches the Joker to fear on Amazon Prime
Merry Little Batman is not about the Dark Knight, but rather about his little offspring. At Christmas, the savior of Gotham (voice in the original: Luke Wilson) is stuck in the snow, and his son Damian (Yonas Kibreab) has to fend off the sinister machinations of the Joker (David Hornsby) on his own.
With its cartoon style, Christmas theme and young main character, Merry Little Batman is first and foremost a gift for young DC fans. Older fans will be delighted by a little side-swipe in the direction of Batman Forever, for example, when a costume makes Damian blush: Bat-nipples were famously invented in the 1995 film.
When is Merry Little Batman coming to Amazon Prime?
Merry Little Batman is scheduled to come to Amazon Prime on December 8, 2023. The DC animated film was directed by Mike Roth, who previously worked as a writer on the cult series Phineas and Ferb, among others.
