Amazon Prime has revealed its most streamed films of the week. Tarantino’s favorite actor Chris Pine beat out 7 (!) Harry Potter movies
Harry Potter may have saved the world, but this week he was still beaten by a Muggle with a machine gun: The Contractor, starring Quentin Tarantino’s favorite actor Chris Pine, relegated all Hogwarts films from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1 to the back of the queue on Amazon Prime.

A press release available to Moviepilot declares The Contractor the most-watched film of the week on Amazon Prime, ahead of seven Harry Potter adventures. It is not known whether Quentin Tarantino has already seen the action thriller. After all, according to The Rewatchables podcast, he is a big Chris Pine fan.

The Contractor centers on ex-elite soldier James Harper (Pine), who joins a top-secret security firm for money. After a raid on a scientist in Germany ends with the death of many team members, Harper becomes suspicious.

The Contractor is definitely shorter than a Harry Potter marathon, but is it worth it? The critical response is divided. On Metacritic the action film currently stands at 52 points. Empire describes it as a “tense, densely constructed thriller”, while the Wall Street Journal speaks of a “particularly generic genre film”.
