Rarely has the silence in a movie theater been as frightening as when watching the first two parts of A Quiet Place. Now the sci-fi horror franchise returns to make some noise in the first trailer for the third film.
A Quiet Place began its triumphal march around the world in 2018: With a budget of just 17 million dollars, the post-apocalyptic horror film grossed 340 million internationally, according to Box Office Mojo. Two years later, John Krasinski followed this up with the equally successful sequel A Quiet Place 2 (box office takings: 297 million).
Now the third film, A Quiet Place: Day One, is waiting in the wings as a potential highlight among horror films in 2024 and hurls us into its first trailer.

In the end-time trailer for the A Quiet Place prequel, noises are once again the biggest threat
The initial idea behind the horror of A Quiet Place is as simple as it is eerie: a species sensitive to sound has come to Earth. Most humans have fallen victim to the deadly creatures before discovering that only one thing can save them from the blind hunters: absolute silence. After the first and second films had already returned to the dangerously loud day of the alien arrival in flashbacks, A Quiet Place: Day One now dives completely into this horror.
Set before A Quiet Place, the third film’s sci-fi horror story focuses entirely on the invasion that descends upon Earth on Day One. After gradually discovering the monsters’ motivations in the franchise opener, the prequel throws us into the human struggle for survival amidst the chaos of the alien incursion. Several people are trying to escape from the city of New York. For those who are not killed immediately after the first meteorite landing can become the next victim with every noise that is too loud.

Unlike the first two films, the prequel by Michael Sarnoski (Pig) does not focus on the family of Emily Blunt’s character. Instead, a new cast faces the apocalypse. But we’re still sure to see one returnee

Meanwhile, A Quiet Place is hard at work building its own horror movie franchise. After parts 1 and 2, A Quiet Place: Day One returns to the roots of the alien invasion before A Quiet Place 3 picks up the story of the Abbott family in 2025. A video game is also being planned
