Alex Cross, on the other hand, comes from the crime fiction creativity of James Patterson, whose African-American investigator from Washington, D.C. can already look back on 32 novels. Alex Cross Must Die from 2023 is the latest title in the series, which has so far been adapted with mixed success. Morgan Freeman portrayed Cross in …because they’re here to kiss and In the Web of the Spider, before Tyler Perry played him in 2012’s Alex Cross. All three films received mostly negative reviews.

With forensic knowledge and a special talent for feeling his way into the psyche of victims and perpetrators, he will reportedly start work as Alex Cross this year.
