Eloise, Benedict or Francesca? Since the end of season 3 of Bridgerton, the Netflix rumor mill has been buzzing about the new main character of season 4. Now it’s official
It’s been just under a month since the grand finale of Bridgerton season 3 aired on Netflix and the love story between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Couglan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) came to an end. Since then, fans of the romantic historical series have been eagerly awaiting new episodes and a fourth season, which has already been officially confirmed by the streamer. However, it has not yet been confirmed which main character the new episodes will revolve around.
The big question about Eloise (Claudia Jessie), Benedict (Luke Thompson) or Francesca (Hannah Dodd) has now officially come to an end, as Netflix has released an announcement video in which our Bridgerton protagonist for season 4 is revealed: The new episodes will focus on Benedict Bridgerton.

Benedict becomes the main character of Bridgerton season 4
This confirms our suspicions, which we were already able to glean from various clues in the season 3 finale. In it, Benedict and his sister Eloise talked about an upcoming masquerade ball for their mother Violet (Ruth Gemmell). Connoisseurs of the Bridgerton novel How to Seduce a Lord * by Julia Quinn will know that the masked ball plays a central role in Benedict’s love life.
The fact that this storyline actually awaits us in season 4 is also teased in the Netflix announcement video – because in it, Luke Thompson is surprised on the Bridgerton set with a suit that he is supposed to wear to a masked ball …
Warning, possible spoilers for season 4! While he meets his future wife Sophie Beckett at the masked ball in the original novel, it is not yet clear whether this character will also appear in the series adaptation. In season 3 of Bridgerton, Benedict also experimented with men on a sexual level.
